   Yury Pustovgarov

     Managing Director of Kazan Helicopter Plant

Yury Pustovgarov was born 8 November 1964, Beloretsk, Republic of Bashkortorstan (Russian Federation, formerly Bashkir ASSR). He graduated from the Magnitogorsk State Technical University, majoring as an Engineer – Metallurgist, and from Ufa State Aviation University, specialising in innovation management.

From August 1986 to March 2006 he worked at the Ufa Engine Building Production Association, where he rose through the ranks from Engineer to CEO. From March 2006 to April 2011, Pustovgarov served as Deputy Prime Minister in the Government of the Republic of Bashkortorstan, and held the posts of Minister of Industry, Investment and Innovation Policy, Minister of Economic Development and Industry, and Minister of International Economic Relations of the Republic of Bashkortorstan.

Yury Pustovgarov worked as Managing Director of the Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise from December 2015 to February 2018. His candidacy for the post was approved by the Russian Helicopters board of directors on 11 December 2015. Since February 6, 2018, he was appointed to the position of managing director of the Kazan Helicopter Plant  by decision of the Board of Directors of the enterprise.

He is an elected member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortorstan, a member of the Central Committee of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia, and an Honoured Mechanical Engineer of the Republic of Bashkortorstan.
