Russian Helicopters will showcase a strong line-up of current and upcoming military and commercial helicopters to the MAKS 2013 International Aviation and Space Salon

The Russian Helicopters display will be on show at a 600 sq m exhibition space shared with its parent company Oboronprom. A Russian Helicopters stand will be open to visitors and participants in hall C3. Helicopters will be on static display, and a number of models will also take part in the flight programme.

This year Russian Helicopters will display a number of its latest models in prototype form. The models will include the updated medium multi-role Mi-171A2, the latest version of the renowned Mi-8/17 series using cutting-edge technologies and materials, and the medium multi-role Ka-62, which breaks new ground for the Russian helicopter industry by being constructed in close collaboration with international companies. In addition visitors will have the opportunity to see the Mi-38 transport and passenger helicopter.

A high level of interest is expected from helicopter operators and sector specialists in the light multi-role Ansat and the AW139, which is built at Helivert, a 50:50 joint venture between Russian Helicopters and Italy's AgustaWestland. The Mi-171 will also be demonstrated in corporate configuration.

A highlight of MAKS-2013 will be the Russian Helicopters flight programme, which will include thematic displays focusing on counter-terrorism and fire-fighting as well as demonstration and display flights. The programme will include the Mi-26Mi-17-V5 and Mi-8AMTSh military transport helicopters, the Ansat-U training model with its unique fly-by-wire control system, the Ka-226T medevac helicopter and the special-purpose multi-role Ka-32A11BC. Attack helicopters will also take to the skies above Zhukovsky. In collaboration with the Russian Defence Ministry the latest military helicopters being shown will include the Mi-35M transport helicopter, the Mi-28NE Night Hunter attack helicopter, and of course the Ka-52 Alligator, the attack and reconnaissance helicopter that made its international debut at the 50th Paris Air Show in June.

As part of MAKS 2013 Russian Helicopters also plans an extensive business programme. The International Russian Helicopter Operators Conference will take place on 26-28 August at the Radisson Royal Moscow hotel. During the salon itself, Russian Helicopters will organise presentations, conferences and round-tables in the conference room of hall C3.
