Russian Helicopters will exhibit at the 18th International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE 2014) taking place on March 25-30 in the Chilean capital, Santiago. The company’s display, at stand D70, will showcase its latest commercial and military helicopters.

At FIDAE 2014 Russian Helicopters will present its current line-up of helicopters for the region, including the multirole Mi-171A1 and Ka-32A11BC. The Mi-171A1 is an upgraded version of the Mi-171 and is part of the legendary Mi-8/17 series. It has operated successfully in South America for several years. The coaxial Ka-32A11BC is also well known to helicopter operators in the region, and has been deployed successfully to tackle all types of fire.

During meetings with business partners Russian Helicopters will also present the development programmes for the new Mi-171A2 and Ka-62. One of the company’s most anticipated new models, the Mi-171A2 is the latest addition to the Mi-8/17 series and draws on the rich operational history of these helicopters around the world. It makes use of the latest technologies and solutions and also factors in feedback from potential clients and operators of Mi-8/17 helicopters. Russian Helicopters’ other new model, the Ka-62, has been created with extensive international collaboration.

Russian Helicopters will also present its military models at FIDAE 2014. Visitors will have the opportunity to find out more about the Mi-35M, an updated version of the legendary Mi-24 that uses the latest aerospace technologies, and also the Mi-17V-5 military-transport helicopter, a modern version of the Mi-8/17 series.

Over its more than 35-year history FIDAE has established itself as the most important aerospace and defence exhibition in South America. Every year it brings together leading commercial aviation companies, the defence sector and service firms, developers of airfield equipment and aerospace enterprises.
