Western Military District Air Force and Air Defense specialists are accepting the first shipment of Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopters on Tuesday.

"More than a dozen Alligators will be added to the fleet of the Western Military District army aviation," says a report of the district press service obtained by Interfax-AVN.

Over 35 brand-new and modernized aircraft, including Sukhoi Su-34 and Mikoyan MiG-31BM planes and Mil Mi-28NMi-26Mi-35M and Mi-8MTV-5 helicopters, have been supplied to the Western Military District this year.

It has a top speed of 350 kilometers per hour, a maximum altitude of 5,500 meters, a range of over 1,000 kilometers and a climb speed of ten meters per second, the Western Military District Staff said.
