The helicopter is powered by two Turbomeca Ardiden 3G turboshaft engines with 1680 h.p. The engines for prototype of Ka-62 helicopter have already been delivered to Russia and successfully tested, all stated parameters were confirmed. The first transmission system developed by Austrian company Zoerkler has been supplied as well.

The technical configuration of this advanced Russian helicopter is completed with five-blade main rotor, dual-circuit hydraulic system, wheeled landing gear with increased impact-absorbing capacity and shock-absorbing seats for aircrew and passengers.

The first export contract for the delivery of Ka-62 helicopters was signed with a Brazilian company Atlas Taxi Aereo. Under this contract the delivery of the first batch of two Ka-62 helicopters to the Brazilian operator will commence in the first quarter of 2015.
