Motrenko was appointed General Director of Rosevertol on 7 June 2014. 
Petr Motrenko has worked with Rostvertol as first deputy general director since 2007. Motrenko is also a member of the Board of Directors at Rostvertol. 

Petr Motrenko was born in 1958. He graduated from Rostov Institute of Agricultural Engineering in 1980, specialising in welding production, and joined Rostov Helicopter Production Group (now Rostvertol) as a design engineer in the mechanisation and automation section. From 1988 to 1996 he was workshop head, and was then appointed director of the Rostvertol plastics production plant. From 1996 to 2000 he was director of the plastics plant. In 2000 he was appointed deputy general director at Rostvertol. In 2007, he was appointed deputy general director for financial and commercial issues. From 2011 to June 2014 Motrenko served as first deputy general director for financial and commercial issues, and for modernisation, at Rostvertol. 

Motrenko was awarded the medal For Services to the Motherland (II Class), the Certificate of Merit from the Russian Federation Economics Ministry, the Certificate of Merit from the Mayor of Rostov on Don, the Honoured Economist and Honoured Aviation Engineer badges, and the jubilee medal celebrating 100 years of Russian aviation, the order For Services to the Rostov Region, and the Certificate of Merit from the Rostov Region Legislative Assembly.
